"Effra" tour in London on Weds 15th October

It's been a mixed couple of months over here, with the passing of a close friend of mine Joseph Rose adding a layer of sadness and grief to an otherwise beautiful time making music and being with my family. My album tour has been going very well so far, and after a few memorable nights last month we are now two-thirds of the way through all of this year's gigs. The band has had several personnel changes this year, some one-off temporary, some very regular temporary and some slowly becoming a permanent fixture. Everyone who has joined the band in one of those ways has been awesome and a pleasure to make music with, as well has share late-night drives home with. Here are some happy, post-gig faces from us after shows in Dorking, Uppingham and Swanage (and some mid-gig ones from Abergavenny):

My next gig is 4 days away on Wednesday 15th October, and it's at London's wonderful Pizza Express Dean Street. There are still tickets available and, inspired by some music Joseph had written, I have been writing some new music of my own recently and aim to give some of it a first outing next week. More details for subsequent shows are on the gigs page which take us to jazz clubs in Luton, Bristol and Leeds (and with one more London gig at the Wimbledon Music Festival).
