"Songs for the Earth" concert with Sinfonia Cymru on BBC Radio 3

Last month my wife Bridget and I had a magical week working with musicians from Sinfonia Cymru workshoping, rehearsing and performing our expanded Songs for the Earth programme which I spent a while re-arranging for 13 musicians. We played some of our favourite nature-inspired songs from many parts of the world, from classical masterpieces by Debussy and Piazzolla to Nordic, Eastern European and British folk songs, from South American spirituals to original pieces by myself and our long-time collaborator Simmy Singh. We had the most amazing time playing with these brilliant musicians and one of our concerts - at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff - was recorded for a broadcast on BBC Radio 3 last night which you can now listen to online for the next month. This week was also Bridget's first work back after maternity leave and so a big shout out to my parents who came along and were awesome grandparents to Orla the entire time.
